Our Blue Therapy Footsteps walks commenced again with a beautiful and stunning route entitled the 'S7even Woods Walk'. The group led by Walk Leader Kerry started with a safety briefing including government guidelines around social distancing, before setting off to enjoy a wonderful circular route which included some great photo opportunities for the budding enthusiasts among us.
Children were welcome on the walk which was pushchair friendly and the kids had a great time exploring nature and spotting wildlife along the way. A great way to educate them and wear them out at the same time, even the kids had fun ;-)
With safety marshals in place mid group and another at the tail they set off to follow Kerry as she walked and talked, pointing out some interesting facts and details on a route she has herself completed many time's. One that never get's boring, as the seasons change there is always something different to discover.
Our four legged friends stretched their legs too, joining the others and taking in the many wonderful scents all around. While relishing the freedom that being in the country brings, the sound of bird song coupled with evidence of the woods natural inhabitants could be seen everywhere.
Time to refuel and rehydrate with a picnic at the half way point and this time a different sound, one of laughter and chatter among friends new and old, the banter flowed freely before setting off on the final leg.
Time to head back to the start point following an afternoon of fresh country air, great company and pure bliss in the country side. A short de brief and final welfare check from Kerry before thanking everyone for coming along.
